Notoriety:

Located beneath an exterior plaza, the ceiling coffers of this 1906 auditorium originally contained glass block pavers to allow natural light in from above; however these skylights have since been paved over.   An important aspect of OMNI's design strategy was to revive the spirit of the coffered skylights through the introduction of innovative light boxes finished with thin translucent membranes; achieving both an even diffusion of light and improved sound attenuation, using a contemporary gesture.

The success of the project can also be measured by the completion of the project ahead of schedule, and below the estimated cost, with one change order due to unforeseen circumstances.
