Mayor Bloomberg Announces OMNI Project!
The Institute for Medical Simulation & Advanced Learning is a 10,000 SF facility which will grant access to highly sophisticated spaces, with medical technology to improve clinical learning and patient care. Numerous resources available will include: replica emergency and operating rooms, control rooms and classroom spaces as well as medical equipment including computer operated mannequins and an advanced digital-audio system. The Institute is expected to lead public healthcare in patient safety and education methods in New York City. Mayor Bloomberg announced “…this Center represents the latest in a number of major advancements in patient safety, technology and innovation we’ve brought to our public healthcare system.”
Our professional design services encompassed the development of multiple medical training spaces including:
• Operating Rooms
• Emergency Rooms
• ICU Rooms
• Exam Rooms
• Debriefing Rooms & Offices
The facility is scheduled for completion in fall of 2010.
